Effective Hiring Practices Workshop

Duke is committed to holding rigorous, thorough, and effective searches that recruit and hire the most talented faculty into our community. The Office for Faculty Advancement and the Office for Institutional Equity are offering a workshop this fall for all faculty serving on search committees and the staff who support faculty searches.

The search workshop is highly interactive and will walk faculty through different search scenarios and discussions on effective practices to strengthen the search processes. Participants will also share lessons learned from previous searches and be informed by additional strategies from colleagues. It is our intention to make the content timely, relevant and engaging. The session will be led by colleagues who are available to assist departments with different aspects of the search, as well as share resources, strategies and effective practices for each stage of the process.
