Duke is a founding member of the Ivy+ Faculty Advancement Network (FAN), a consortium of national research universities that collaborate to advance diversity and inclusion in the American professoriate. Selected Duke faculty take part in FAN’s annual Institute on Inquiry, Equity and Leadership in the Academic Department.

In this off-site retreat and celebration, newly tenured faculty members enjoy networking opportunities with senior faculty mentors and colleagues, as they get expert guidance to evaluate and plan the next stage of their career progression.
1:1 Leadership Coaching
Faculty members have two options for receiving professional coaching from Maria LaMonaca Wisdom, director of faculty mentoring and coaching programs. They may apply for 1:1 coaching with the nomination of their department chair, or sign up directly for group coaching.
